OBJECTIVES
The objective of the group is to alleviate poverty within the area by engaging an income generation activities. By doing so the group will be improving its member’s life in health and education. Mapato

ACTIVITIES
The group plan to attain its objectives by engaging in
1. Income generating activities i.e. agriculture, hand-craft, micro-finance e.t.c.
2. Water management. Conservation.
Mapato Members in partnership with Undp/Nema during world Environment day, 2012 held at Tarasaa High School in Tana Delta District of Tana River County.
3. Culture and art.
4. Social activities
5. Education/Research
During Village listing and volunteer recruitment for the Uwezo Project.
6. Civic Education
7. Peace Building advocacy
8. Community health advocacy
9. Fund Mobilization

COMMUNITY BENEFITS
Members have benefited from loans given out by the group to open small businesses e.g. vegetables kiosks, and Tailoring shops among other. The community is also aware of so many issues on development issues, children rights, women rights, just to mention but a few.
Mapato Community Based Organization Strengthening community support groups during Hiv/Aids Activity
. PROJECT FAILURE; Mapato Cbo, has also got its Gains and Failures. The Agroforest project came to an end due to the river diversion and the persistent drought .The Bread selling project, stopped due the clashes.
